I'm wondering what's happening with the gardening services. We returned almost two weeks ago from a 3 week vacation to find that our grass has not been cut at all during this time. Our housekeeper, who stays at our house while we're away confirmed this. While I'm used to a 5-6 week interval between trimmings (although this is way too long during the green season) Caribbean are usually fairly consistent with the lawn cutting.
I'd like to propose to the Sandyport Board of Directors that someone with some knowledge and experience of landscaping revisits the landscaping contract and increases the trimming intervals during the summer months, which is the growing season, and decreases it during the winter months when we get little rain and the plants grow at a quarter to a third of the summer rate. In summer they can't keep up with the schedule and in winter they come more often than is needed.
If there was a discount on our maintenance I wouldn't hesitate to opt out of the gardening service, but since we pay a great deal every month, and from what I understand, gardening is a substantial part of that payment, I don't. However we have invested a lot of money in our garden in the almost 12 years we've been here and I think we deserve a better service than what we receive.
