Property boundaries

It is the responsibility of the owner to establish the boundary lines for their property. We recommend engaging the services of a surveyor to identify the boundary lines following the purchase of a property.

At the beginning of construction of a new building, the foundations for all proposed development within the Building Envelope Area must be staked and surveyed by a land surveyor qualified and registered to practice in the Bahamas. More specific details can be found in the construction guidelines.

Boundary disputes between neighbours should be resolved between the affected parties. The Association should only be involved if the boundary dispute impacts common property.
